Detroit showed out this summer when we pulled up for our first ever Urban Golf Meetup in the city. The energy, the creativity, and the way the community rallied around hitting shots in the streets was unforgettable. That’s why we couldn’t just make it a one-time thing. We’re running it back.

On Thursday, September 11th at 6:00 PM, Muni Kids and PAR are teaming up once again to bring the streets of Detroit alive with the sound of clubs and golf balls. The meetup spot is Johnny Noodle King, one of the city’s most loved local restaurants, and the urban golf course we’ve set up will surround the spot, literally transforming the neighborhood into a nine-hole street golf playground.

Why Detroit?

Detroit is a city built on grit, culture, and creativity. It’s a city that understands what it means to reclaim space and reimagine it. That’s exactly what urban golf is about—taking the game we love and flipping it on its head, bringing it out of the private fairways and back to the people. The first Detroit meetup proved that the city not only gets it, but thrives in it. People of all backgrounds pulled up, clubs in hand, ready to take part in something different.

We always say golf is more than a game... It’s a lifestyle, a culture, a community. And in Detroit, that community showed us that the movement has legs in every corner of the country.

What to Expect

If you’ve never been to an Urban Golf Meetup before, here’s the vibe:

Clubs & balls provided – You don’t need to bring gear, just yourself and your energy.

A one-of-a-kind street course – We design each course around the location, making every meetup unique. This one runs around Johnny Noodle King, weaving the restaurant into the action.

Inclusive energy – Everyone’s welcome. Whether you’ve been golfing your whole life or never swung a club before, you’ll fit right in.

Community first – These events are about connection as much as they are about golf. Pull up, meet people, grab food and drinks, and soak in the culture.

Why Johnny Noodle King?

Johnny Noodle King isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a landmark in the Detroit food scene, and it’s the perfect host for this meetup. It embodies everything we believe in at Muni Kids and PAR: creativity, community, and making the ordinary extraordinary. Plus, when you finish a round of urban golf, nothing hits quite like ramen and a cold drink.

Pull Up, Detroit!

We started these meetups to give golf back to the people. To make it fun again. To prove you don’t need manicured greens and country club rules to enjoy the game. You just need a ball, a club, and some good people around you.

So Detroit, mark your calendars: Thursday, September 11th, 6:00 PM at Johnny Noodle King. Muni Kids and PAR are running it back, and we want you there. Let’s make the streets echo with swings, laughter, and community one more time.

See you in the D!
