This last weekend I was invited by a couple of good friends to play The City Open in Baker City, OR. Being that I didn't have any plans yet, I said yes and was really excited to go check it out. I'd met several guys from there in the past at other golf tournaments and they were all great guys so I knew it would be a good time. Having never played the course before I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Quail Ridge as a golf course was unbelievably fun to play. Small slick undulated greens were super challenging, the course was in great condition, and every hole on the course had character. It's an amazing golf course for a community of that size. The best thing about Quail Ridge Golf Club though is the people who work and play there. I knew several people who play there going into the event but I walked away with many more friends and they went above and beyond to make it feel like you were apart of the Baker City family. At the end of the day that is what golf is all about. I already can't wait to go back next year and for many years to come. If you are ever driving through Baker City and have your sticks with you, stop in for a round at an awesome course and a chance to meet some great people. Thanks guys!
